Get out of your comfort zone

Get out of your comfort zone

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
Neal Donald Walsch

I really believe in this, since many of the best experiences of my life wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t because I stepped out of my comfort zone in the first place.

Our brain is a master in keeping us in the safe zone, not allowing us to face the unknown, fearing that something will go wrong in the process.

Not too long ago, when deciding about coming to the US, I was petrified, I did not have any family here, I did not have any money, even though I knew the language and the culture, it was a whole different deal to leave your old life behind and trust that everything would eventually work out. And it did.

Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t easy. I’ve experienced some of the most challenging times of my whole life during these past years, but it shaped me into the person I’ve become today, and none of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t overcome my fears and get out of my comfort zone.

I watched Will Smith on an interview a couple months ago talking about fear, and he said: “God placed the best things in life on the other side of fear”.

How would it feel if you finally decided to take that leap of faith? You don’t need an extreme makeover to leave your comfort zone. Start small, on an area of your life you feel curious about, and see how you can benefit from it.

Let me know how’d it go.
